Welcome to Year 1!

The focus on Year One is to build on the skills that the children have mastered in EYFS, with a particular focus on phonics and reading. Each of the classes has a full time teaching assistant to support learning and to lead intervention groups. 

Year 1 Learning Overviews

Each half-term we publish the Learning Overviews for Year 1. These summarise our learning for the term and include information about English, maths, science, geography or history, computing, PE, RE, PSHE, art or DT, music and MFL. Please note, that due to the nature of our planning cycles, some subjects are not taught every half term,
